The Neck and Décolletage – A Tale of Sexy

How many of you moisturize and exfoliate your neck? I don’t, and apparently I am as foolish as this surfer who recently decided to stalk two great white sharks. (Yes, the neck is this dramatic.) The neck never lies. Because in this day of injecting ourselves with Botox and fillers and probably strawberry jam if it worked, the only sure-fire way to tell a person’s age is by his or her neck.

Think about it – how many times have you looked at the baby-smooth cheeks of a society Grande Dame, just to notice her neck matches her Hermes alligator bag? And I know that many of you would as soon as inject your eyeballs with glue than put Botox in your face. But that doesn’t mean we should continue to neglect our sassy necks or sexy upper bosoms.

Here’s why. As we age, our skin gets loser and fine lines make their appearance. The skin on the neck is thin and blood isn’t circulating around it as well as other places. The neck doesn’t have any fat to plump it up. It is often as exposed to the elements as much as your face – as can be your upper bosoms. You’ve invested in that Nixxi Fringe Collar Wrap Dress, so you’re going to want to bring on the sass with your cleavage.

Here’s how. First, it is important to keep our necks and chests moisturized and toned. Strawberry Hedgehog has a fantastic moisturizer. They also offer a detoxifying facial mask that is great for the neck and upper chest area as well. Want to tone? Here’s a list of some toners on the organic and natural market. (Though be sure to still read the labels, as some still contain chemical ingredients as well as organic ones.)

You can also eat your way to a healthy neck. Consider consuming foods high in omega-3s like flax seed and salmon. Spinach contains skin-strengthening vitamin A. Berries are high in antioxidants and vitamin C, which are both fantastic for your epidermis. Also think about giving your neck a massage with organic sunflower oils, which are high in nourishing vitamin F.

Next, think about your posture. Walk around with a book on your head. This will train your neck muscles to lift and elongate. (Suggests the person who spends most of her time hunched over a laptop looking like a turtle.)

You can also consider hot and cool compresses. Sitting in an armchair, wrap a warm, wet towel around your neck and clavicle for fifteen minutes. Then follow with a cool towel for the same amount of time. This will moisturize your skin and help you relax.

And finally, want a really great recipe for a homemade neck and décolletage wash? Try a Creamy Yolk Wash from Narine Nikogosian’s Return to Beauty.

Take one teaspoon of sour cream, one egg yolk, and one teaspoon of lemon juice. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, and egg yolk together, then add lemon juice. Wash your neck and then rinse with cold water.

How to have firmer breasts

Most women are worried about fine lines, pimples and other such skin menaces. Another bothersome beauty culprit is sagging breasts.

But, there is nothing that can't be dealt with! We list out a couple of ways in which you can keep your breast firm and look sexy…
What causes sagging?
A combination of weight gain or sudden weight loss, pregnancy, and wearing the wrong bra can cause connective tissues in the breasts to break.

Most women who breast feed complain of sagging breasts. Therefore, you must wear a good maternity bra and regularly massage your girls with a good moisturiser after a bath.
The right bra
Choosing the right bra is more important than anything else. You must start wearing a good support bra as soon as you hit puberty and notice that your breasts are developing.

This keeps your breasts firm and in shape. During strenuous workouts make sure you wear a sports bra. Don't hold back when it comes to splurging on a good bra...your girls will thank you for it!
Slather on moisturiser
Use a good moisturising cream to seal in the moisture and keep the breast skin supple. You can also try skin rejuvenating creams like Retino- A which causes skin peeling making your breast look firmer and younger.

You can also try good old oil massage once a week.
Massage your girls
Take some moisturiser in your hands. Now massage the area around your breast while moving your hands in clockwise or anticlockwise motion. For best results, do the massage twice a day.
Tone it up
Exercises are really helpful to keep the pectoral muscles in shape and your breasts toned. The best exercise to strengthen your pectoral muscles is to do push ups. You could also try simple weight lifting routine under the guidance of a fitness trainer.
Self-breast examination
Do keep an eye on any changes that your breasts experience by examining them to check if there are any unusual lumps. Consult the doctor accordingly.

Sex up your bedroom

If your bedroom has been reduced to a Tashiki's Castle-style mess by your children; or worse still, your bed has now becomes your closet because you don’t have time to clean up, it says two things about you — you’re probably not getting any and your organisational skills are shameful.

Before it’s too late, use our handy tips to turn your bedroom into a sexy love den.
Use sensual colours
Use passionate hues such as red or maroon for your upholstery. Deep brown wood for your furniture will make the atmosphere more intense and adult. This will remind you that you and your partners have more serious issues, such as each other, to attend to.
Chuck the TV
It only hinders any minuscule chance of sex you have and becomes a really bad habit when you start making the half-an-hour-show-before-bed your nightly ritual. Also, leaving your television out of your comfy bedroom will keep your kids glued to it in another not-so-private part of your home.
Sheets
If they have cartoon characters or racing cars, save them for the kids’ beds. Satin and silk sheets in sexy colours will definitely sex up your bedroom’s style. Apart from being gloriously comfortable and soft, there’s something about a well-made bed and good sheets that is sure to get your guy in the mood.
Candles
Why are candlelight dinners so romantic? It’s because the lighting is so flattering it can hide the extra pounds you or your husband have put on, and hide the terrible pimple that’s sprouted on your chin. A few scented candles here and there will leave you relaxed and the delicious smell will initiate a fiery night.
Soft music
If your room doesn’t have a stereo system, get one ASAP. A little mix of his and your favourite romantic songs will have you in each other’s arms in no time.

Remember to keep your bed clear of clothes, toys and books at all times. Make your bedroom a romantic and clutter-free place just for you and your partner to retreat to.
