Sex up your bedroom
If your bedroom has been reduced to a Tashiki's Castle-style mess by your children; or worse still, your bed has now becomes your closet because you don’t have time to clean up, it says two things about you — you’re probably not getting any and your organisational skills are shameful.
Before it’s too late, use our handy tips to turn your bedroom into a sexy love den.
Use sensual colours
Use passionate hues such as red or maroon for your upholstery. Deep brown wood for your furniture will make the atmosphere more intense and adult. This will remind you that you and your partners have more serious issues, such as each other, to attend to.
Chuck the TV
It only hinders any minuscule chance of sex you have and becomes a really bad habit when you start making the half-an-hour-show-before-bed your nightly ritual. Also, leaving your television out of your comfy bedroom will keep your kids glued to it in another not-so-private part of your home.
Sheets
If they have cartoon characters or racing cars, save them for the kids’ beds. Satin and silk sheets in sexy colours will definitely sex up your bedroom’s style. Apart from being gloriously comfortable and soft, there’s something about a well-made bed and good sheets that is sure to get your guy in the mood.
Candles
Why are candlelight dinners so romantic? It’s because the lighting is so flattering it can hide the extra pounds you or your husband have put on, and hide the terrible pimple that’s sprouted on your chin. A few scented candles here and there will leave you relaxed and the delicious smell will initiate a fiery night.
Soft music
If your room doesn’t have a stereo system, get one ASAP. A little mix of his and your favourite romantic songs will have you in each other’s arms in no time.
Remember to keep your bed clear of clothes, toys and books at all times. Make your bedroom a romantic and clutter-free place just for you and your partner to retreat to.
